De Boingville

An enquiry was held to consider interference off the final bend when KING SPIRIT (IRE), placed second, ridden by Nico De Boinville, manoeuvred left-handed interfering with the winner, WHAT A LAUGH, ridden by Mr Alex Edwards. Nico De Boinville was suspended for 6 days for improper riding as he had intentionally manoeuvred left in an attempt to prevent WHAT A LAUGH going up his inside.

Following the race the Veterinary Officer reported that NO DICE (IRE), unplaced, was lame left fore.
