Dee Ex Bee and Kew Gardens are amongst six turning up with  the former just shading favouritism. Others are Nelson and Downdraft, and the two French horses Neufbosc  and Folamour.

Will Dee Ex Bee confirm Epsom form with Kew Gardens or will the latter confirm Zetland form with the former? Neufbosc and Folamour are competing in a Gp 1 race for the very 1st time.

De Sousa not required.

None of them exactly solid are they?

If I have won earlier in the day might throw a few quid at Downdraft on the basis he was fancied at Ascot but had an horrendous trip. So very likely no bet.

In the 6.25 Gr2  Ice Breeze at 7/2 with skybet and victor looks a very reasonable price.

Racing Post showing the ground as soft. Is that correct?
Report impossible123 July 14, 2018 9:57 AM BST
The soft ground, if accurate, could be a concern for Kew Gardens. I think a better surface would be an advantage; Dee Ex Bee,...the Epsom form I'm unsure. If any upset it could easily from the French Neufbosc who won a Gp 3 race prior.

Poor turnout indeed for such a valuable race and such shame Latrobe was a late scratching but understandable, all things considered.

If you look at the card in the paper it gives the ground as good but on the website as soft. Really helpful from the Post.

Apart from RP the others are calling it good. Even on France Galop website it says: Ground bon (3.0), meaning good ground.

that would have been dq'd under the old rules

Kew Gardens won it.

A comfortable win by Kew Gardens with Dee Ex Bee running on again to be 3rd having been past at the 1f pole. Similar result in The Leger, I believe, should they meet again, all things being equal.
