I believe, but I am not sure, that the RP merely reports the ownership name when a horse is registered to run, and that becomes its ownership of record until changed upon its next run. If this changes from race to race, that will result in what you see in the op. It does not of course explain why the Coolmore "ownership details" flit around so much. Initially I thought that the ownership name would vary to suit the ownership colours to be worn by said hoss, but that doesn't seem to work either. The thot plickens. Someone will know as usual.

No more than a guess, but perhaps this confusion on the part of the RP results from one name being used to make entries in Group 1 races before the horse has even raced, then the details of the partnership being registered before it runs in a maiden where the entry is five or six days before the race.
So for exmple, Saxon Warrior is down as owned by Derrick Smith when it's entered for the Racing Post Trophy, the 2000 Guineas and the Derby, but that changes to the Smith, Magnier, Tabor combinaion when it is entered for it's first actual race.
But as each declaration stage for the Group 1 races comes around, that entry is still just Derrick Smith and the RP software gets confused.
Let's face it, the RP site is rubbish and riddled with this sort of thing - they still haven't mastered the art of adjusting both ratngs in their database when a horse with single mark covering turf and AW is changed by the handicapper.

To muddy the waters further, there is probably a different company set up to own each horse and no doubt the same again for each owner in each partnership. The details of ownership are kept murky. This is separate from the registered owners for racing purposes.
You will remember the row with Sir Alex Ferguson around the ownership of Rock of Gibraltar. The point is that it was not settled in ten minutes by someone digging the ownership records out of the filing cabinet.
