Why isn't there that other stewards enquiry market they have up sometimes

you would have to think that betfair closed the main market due to incompetence, otherwise having to re-settle bets from this race and future races would get messy
quite clearly cost it much more than it was beaten by. Anyone who sees the head on must think that goes. Was less conclusive side on but head on a simple decision..

no prob with bf settling the market...if they had peoples funds tied up for 20 mins there would be some scream ups..
Betfair dont employ people to watch racing, they pay em to press buttons and pay em likewise.
This is the downward pressure on the workforce.
If the staff responsible to press a button needs to know about the rules that costs more.
So the user of the exchange is inconvienenced instead.

The Stewards considered that the interference had improved VISCOUNT LOFTUS (IRE)’s placing as he had carried CROSSING THE LINE across the course for some considerable distance, and that CROSSING THE LINE was making ground in the final few strides, to be beaten a head, and revised the placings as follows: First, CROSSING THE LINE and second, VISCOUNT LOFTUS (IRE). Stott was suspended for 7 days for careless riding as he had allowed his horse to drift right without sufficient correction.

I complained three days ago when they settled a race where an inquiry was obvious.The keep race market was also removed so it was not possible to bet on that inquiry.I asked for the Keep Race Market to be reinstated ,and the help desk said that they would request it .Thinking it would be in the GB horse racing section ,it was nowhere to be seen .When I complained the help desk didn't know that it was now on the Specials page.How will customers know when even the staff don't ,it beggars belief.
There's a big incentive for Betfair to settle quickly when there looks like being a Steward's: by opening a new market, they get extra commission. If everyone played in the original market, a lot of punters would be hedging profits, thereby reducing their commission.
The vast majority of people probably won't know where the stewards market is
