the 2nd lto has won twice since...now rated 94..this beat t 8L on the snaff..so makes its 105 rating look lenient in theory..

if it was in a lesser race then it would be a 10 star bet..but upped to a g1 its a watching brief ![]() |

Makes sense. Very difficult race, 22 entries and only 12 for the Jubilee on Sat, which of course 3yos are still eligible for.
By:
Which could be a strong hint for Merchant Navy.
By:
i aint looked yet.
By:
Actually, ignore that about MN, I'm assuming it's because the AUS breds aren't eligible for the CC given that he gets no wfa in the GJ
By:
Or he may be eligible but he'd have to give the field 7lb

Bigfield,
VWD on your bet, you've got a great price obviously and it was a good spot. Considering the stake, you're probably going to let it ride, but a trade might be worth considering. Visually, very impressive LTO and could be another Dayjur, or just a good sprinter that will win occassionally. If you disect the form, is it actually as good as first thought ? Won well on debut, but it was an egg and spoon maiden at Bath. Looking at all the runners form there is only a single win before and after the race. Forget it's 2nd run, it was eased and maybe something was amiss. It's best run was obviously LTO, but ignoring the runner-up for a moment, there are only 2 wins from all runners before and after the race. The bottom line is his form is based around one horse (rated 84) from one run, good that it was. Will Ascot suit him ? York and Doncaster are flat tracks. Bath has a steady incline in the straight. He's meeting hardened, experienced group class sprinters, a massive step up on what he's achieved so far, although he's earned the right to be entered of course. Should he be favourite ? Not for me Would i lay him at 5's No Would i lay him at 3's Definitely I may lay the 3TBP anyway, but i wish you good luck. I like Invincible Army, but what do i know ![]() |
