FD just nudging in the last half furlong with Doyle riding at maximum, and Cracksman was gaining at the line. Essentially outpaced at this trip and going.

Cracksman had a hard race at Epsom Gosden didn't want to run him today but the owner insisted. He will be given a break and come back to win the Arc They might even try him in blinkers or cheekpieces

Gosden reiterated Cracksman has had his mind on the fillies in the earlier race, and not fully concentrating; his next race would be the King George VI & QE stakes.
I do agree, Gosden would not have run him so soon after having a hard race at Epsom, but for his owner.

He's 'class' afterwards for his interview with ITV before the race, and if it had won he would have been a superhero. Very hard to take Gosden at face value, he always has a negative about one of his before a race.

I like John but he came out with a very strong comment yesterday that his horse shouldn't be favourite. He maybe shouldn't stray into betting and stick to traing horses.

Wouldn't fancy him one bit for an Arc, he needs a long uninterrupted run to get shifting he can't pick up in an instant, big if in the Arc getting that

I don't agree that was his form but he has been overrated. It seems some people need to constantly big-up the Frankel factor.
Last year's 3yo colts were not a great bunch. He was probably the best of a bad lot. Two of the bunch were tailed off today.
Cracksman needed to be shaken up to beat a pacemaker on his seasonal debut and only won last time because De Sousa didn't close off the rail.
He is better than this but no superstar.

Unfortunately , I reckon the horse does his own thing, when he wants, and is therefore one to avoid. I really thought he would hose up. Shows what I know!

Blinkers may affect his value, but wouldn't be surprised to see a hood on him. Frankel used to work in a hood at home, hasn't affected his value.
