I'll start the ball rolling, U.S. Navy Flag is my nap today, tough as old boots and sure to make them all go again today, riding from the front at Ascot is a tough task for sure, but he'll be out of trouble turning in and just might hold them all at bay...

3.05 Calyx, 11/4 with some firms, Gosdens best 2yo by a mile and after today will be single figures for next years guineas. You can still get 20/1 for next year too!!!

If anybody else trained Romanised he'd be much shorter than the current 7/1 and that's far too big. Consistency is a worry, but he's already a Guineas winner and runner-up to Masar as a juvenile and I think that's the best form in the race.

Backed Laraaib ante post @ 7/1 ew. Gutted with the draw!!!!! 15/16 :-(  would have been very sweet on him with a lowish draw.
Had a couple of £££ on Battaash 11/4 & Tip Two Win ew 6/1.
Gd luck all.

Cosmic Law, Tipped to Win and Laraaib all on my list as well with Battaash a last minute bet if he behaves himself and the market is in his favour. I will probably back Calyx as well close to start time but a rather green horse in a field of 24 is a negative.

Just a quick Q. On the straight course are high or low stall numbers on the stands side?

My understanding is that low numbers are on the inside of a round course and therefore the far rail on the straight course would be low and stands side high.

Thanks sage, I haven't picked a horse in the first so I can check that race (str. course).

If there is a bias, Recoletos and Calyx are both drawn 1 on the straight course. Lady Aurelia and Battaash are both drawn close together in the middle.

The usual deluge of p**fters and fa**ots, braodcast live by TV, discussing ladies clothing, is my tip for every day.
Thank goodness for NH racing and the Cheltenham festival!

15 runners in the first means they will probably group together down the middle. Might get one or two that risk searching for better ground, but will be hard to sense a bias from that alone (unless they scoot up!).

23 runners in the second race might tell us more.

Don't they use the notorious heterosexual Alan Carr to promote Cheltenham?

Honcho, it is sad to se RUK infected by the fashion thing and even advertising bollie for goodness sake. It costs me £300 a year to subscribe to them so I expect to see racing whenever possible and good interviews with connections in between.

Agreed sage.  It is so bad now we are letting them away with it without demur!
How long before we are subjected to a "Trans" Day at R.A.?  Can't be far away as the patrons of "Diversity" Tower get with the programme! Laugh

Yucatan in the last has a decent shout, then Battalion in the 5.00 has become fairly well handicapped and the Osborne/Spencer combo often clicks at Ascot so at around 150's on here might not be a complete no hoper. The big step up in trip is the unknown but u never know, worth a small play at big odds maybe.

I really don't have a clue about the 5.00. Mullins will probably win it but I hope not.
