Far too much low grade racing to look at every race so I mostly stick with pattern races, novice and maidens and to a few trainers and owners who I follow. If I don't recognise the name of a favourite in a handicap then I put a line straight through it.

Just shows how we approach things differently Sage , i start from the bottom of the odds ladder and work upwards and if i don't find a bet that fits the criteria by the time i reach single odds i put a line through it , also bets are all low grade races so i don't even consider festival handicaps or any other races at festivals for that matter for as long as i can remember.
Thankfully we're all different otherwise the exchange would struggle , best of luck ![]() |

Best of luck to you Hayden. I just go for the best chance among the Balding 3yos (usually maidens with a couple of runs behind them) unless there is a pattern race and they are showing a profit so far.
