think had Dobbs shown a bit more vigour when in the clear in the final furlong he might have got his mount closer and given himself more of a chance in the SE

As always not quite sure of the rule but don't they need to be convinced the runner up would have won - you can't possibly be certain - but stewards a law unto themselves right
