It is a bit difficult tbf. I'm not that far from Doncaster and there was a really heavy downpour this morning for about an hour. I think there probably is too much watering but trainers seem to have got very fussy about firm ground in recent decades.

it used to be the case that g/f was being aimed for in flat racing but a lot of clerks talk about aiming for good ground now
