They did run a Group 2 sprint there in 2004, the Temple Stakes. Unfortunately, the stalls handlers were on strike, so they had to use a flip tape start and it was a shambles. One horse was facing the wrong way when the starter let them go, and four others were hopelessly left.
The stewards decided that the blame should fall on the BBC, who had a noisy helicopter hovering over the 5F start, and the jockeys claimed they couldn't hear the starter!
The experiment was not repeated.
