Today is a day I am happy to go balls deep on a horse.

I have been waiting a few weeks for Defoe to run but in the 2.00 at Newbury the absolute machine who will win the King George and the L'Arc this year returns. Roger Varian's colt today is a stone cold cert and whilst I can only go a maximum of 10pts win, I have placed £500 at 11/10 last night because he simply is a certainty. I would go to the level of saying if he got beat today on Guineas day I would run the length of the Rowley Mile stark bollock naked, that's how confident I am. The horse has had 2 racecourse gallops and the big punters who work for Roger are both going NAP on it. In it's racecourse gallops it's been scintillating and he completely destroyed a very good horse by 20L in his latest piece of work. I've never been more confident about a horse we've seen up the gallops winning and he is stronger than a banker today, he is an absolute steering job. This won't get beat and I'm happy to take the abuse if it does, but unless Pegasus is in the race, this wins. Evens now everywhere is a gift from every bookmaker alive, fill the boot to the very top. I've had £500 @ 11/10 and was gutted to miss the 11/8 last night but went too quick.

Two others I am betting today;

Hey Gaman (3.10 Newb) - Got 9/2 last night and went EW but annoyingly one has come out and makes it 7 runners. Expert Eye has not trained on from 2 to 3, and James Tate things Hey Gaman will win the Guineas. He has been impressing on the gallops and I would be surprised if he didn't go close today and should win despite needing a run. 5pts Lay @ 13/8 Expert Eye - 2pts Win Hey Gaman @ 3/1.

Finally in the 5.40 at Nottingham, Global Conqueror has been working seriously well. The Haggas horse a non runner makes this short but it's pretty much free money at 4/7. 3pts Win.

Good Luck all

Quite sweet on Defoe myself, but if they were machines he wouldn't have been beaten 29l in the St Leger.

Thanks for tipping a horse with a 50% chance and another with a 62% chance of winning. Don't know if I could ever have found them myself.

Put up something decent like MeatLoaf or don't bother imvho.

Good luck Domino, although your assertion he will win the KG and Arc is probably based on a Horlicks induced emotion Wink

So if I back this horse matching your bet..and it gets beat ..are you prepared to compensate me for the loss.....  only you are saying it's a certainty

I don't take anything like this as gospel, all horses are individuals and these samples are extremely small.But I do like to have a glance at what sort of record trainers have when dropping horses back in class after a disappointment at a higher level.

Roger Varian is a very good trainer he has dropped horses back down to group 3 company 9 times from the top level and only 1 has managed to place.

Sir Michael Stoute has done the same thing 25 times and 11 have managed to win

Both of these trainers have to put a poor run behind them with this class drop today, will be interesting how both get on as Domino is involved in both races.

The only other ex-jockey I've known to post on here was TOWF. I do hope the shame from his bet editing disappears soon, and he returns to the forum.
