He tried to make the running but Turnpike beat him to it. They can't all make the running. He was pushing it the first 100 yards, saw he couldn't get there and settled behind like any sensible jockey would do.

He could have eased out a little before the bend to give himself a chance. Instead decided to sit there bang against the rail until they came round the bend. Might as well have cut his own throat.

imo ,moore wimns on a horse if its good enough besides from his foook ups now and again,but you cant remember moore winning on a horse you didn't think he had a chance on because of an enterprising ride from the front, driving rat a tat rat finish, finding the best ground etc,etc,yoiur average punter ,racegoer couldn't pick out moore from any other jock riding if he watched him with a full book of rides at a meeting unlike the lesters,cauthens,fallons.edderys etc, of this world,imo

Great post 1st time poster - quite right . You wouldn't know who the **** it was most of the time cos he's just not good enough. Always remember the genius of Fallon as he waited till the final moment to use the whip and then only sparingly.

You always knew who Fallon was just from the way he sat on a horse. Couldn't pick Moore out from a hundred others.

I was a true 'Rodders' fan when and after he was an apprentice, and probably still am, but one thing in Doncaster annoyed me: he simply threw away a water bottle on the ground and gave a look of arrogance, and this was when he first began to ride for Stoute, let alone Ballydoyle. Not very good. He'll go the same way as Frank Spencer if he's not careful.

Moore is regressing, and not the jockey he once was. Be prepared for howlers next week at Royal Ascot,...I'm, despite anteposts vouchers on his probable mounts. I hope another senior and/or stable jock take some of the rides on AOB's charges.

Moore jumps out well in prime position and steadily loses it throughout the field...then chased the wrong horses and finishes well down the inside.....

Sounds like it from the Sporting Life reported eg Laurens took it up two out,...Happily suffered a disrupted passage, and flew home at the finish just missing out on a place.

Just managed to watch the race. Without a doubt Happily was given a hard race, but when the gap (finally) appeared she ran out of puff at the business end, I think - stamina was found wanting, I think.

To me the jockey had perfect possy and messed it up....no need to let the horse drift back through the field like it did imo

Moore rode a fairly similar race in the Lagardere, but there he was lucky...the colts were less keen than Laurens.
