Is that you, Mart?! ^^

I've backed this. Clear edge in SFs and has beaten faster horses than the others. For me the dangers is Antonian who will have to improve significantly for the trip. That and the unraced horse are factored into the price. Good bet.

Money for spinart on fibresand debut in 4.55. Pam sly recently had a mile winner Zafaranah off a mark of 67 after a similar break. You would think they would have been working together?

The form of the favorite hadn't been franked and was average at best. It was far too short in the morning, probably due to connections, but there was a couple in with a shout of winning, so I didn't mind laying it at 2.72. Drifted on here though. |

sometimes even the majority proven handicap form works at maiden and novice level. George has few horses of decent ability but he knows the level and when his yard take on the ring against Godolphin and Gosden then he knows his is above average and that perhaps he thought holding a mark of 87 was enough to win this contest. Bearing in mind 3 year olds should be improving this early in their career who knows where the winner will end up as a mark. It won extremely comfortably but perhaps the also rans were just that?

I noticed there was a horse in this race called Sexy Beast, and frankly I'm amazed the OP didn't start a thread entitled: 'I'm backing this (Sexy) Beast in the place market'
Mind just as well he didn't as it finished 5th Perhaps when he gets a mark and is upped to 14f / 2 mile? |

What a day out yesterday. Met up with my Geordie pal and didn't get home until 11pm. I lost a good few bob backing the beast at 5/4 and surprisingly Big D stuck 400 on it. That's his second biggest bet ever but no sour grapes after the race. We should have went home then but when we came out of the bookies it was snowing. (Aberdeen)
Anyways, unbeknown to me Big D has been giving his good lady any money he's made following my selections and put it in a kitty for a holiday. In the past year he has won just under 4k. He's not a punter as such and only backs one if I fancy it. Not blowing my trumpet but I was surprised he told me this. I don't keep records as it's a waste of time imo but his winnings don't relate to what pennies I can pick up before the steamroller arrives. One post I noticed while going through the thread was this... Davros Date Joined: 09 Mar 02 Add contact | Send message 04 Apr 18 16:55 Joined: 09 Mar 02 | Topic/replies: 42 | Blogger: Davros's blog I've backed this. That and the unraced horse are factored into the price. Good bet. We were both wrong Davros but you need to post more. You come across as a decent type. Anyways, got one for today and will put it up shortly. PS I have only seen the race once but why did Buick persist on taking the long route all the way around?? |

Actually, away to have a quick shower and off out to back Flying Sparkle in the 2:40.
The Crisford beast would have to be fairly good to beat this one. Will take as much 11/8 and 5/4 as I can get. Looks different gravy to me. g/l all. |
|
By:
No one should knock you for pre-race view Stewart. Have a look a the video on the 2.40 thread before you bet
|
|
By:
As equine said, at least you are having a go pre-race - not an easy thing to do on here. Fair play.
However, must admit the AW racing and pathetic amount of jumps has killed me recently for number of possible selections - like you say, it's been putrid all round as a standard and potential for punting. |

the winner technological was tipped up lto by hugh taylor and was impeded over c/d lto, that winner is now rated 88 and was in reciept of 3lbs that day, taking that all into consideration, the fav wasnt a good price, suppose thats why most of the people layed it on this thread. unlucky
