Or could it be a system Error?
I had a lay bet on Peppard Le Pugh.  My bet had to be at the front of the queue as I viewed the ladder on the BetDroid App Ladder.  Over £200 was matched at 2.08 however not a penny of my Lay.  Could they be using some Algorithm which ring fences money when a large back bet comes in and then decides whether they match it or keep it themselves if the market moves in there favour and offsets it with someone else.  I can't see any other explanation.

I laid a team in the lower leagues at evens the graph and amount traded showed there was 10,000 (Approx) laid at evens at the time the bet was placed and there was £5,400 at evens to bet, therefore I would have guessed/ estimated that when the graph showed £15,400 my bets should have been first in the queue but no it ended up that over £35,000 was traded at evens and my bet lapsed, I questioned them at the time and they did not respond. seemed very strange at the time. Needless to say I didn't receive an answer.

Yep.

I am always getting stiffed, pushed out, cheated, eg, I have tested this (not scientifically of course) a few times. I put say £100 as a lay @1.01 @1.02 etc, to offset some o my outlay if it drops that low, one of the markets I tried this on, there is only £10 showing as being available at the time, so the amount now shows £110.

Yet, in some cases, I can see £200-£300-£400-£500 traded and my £100 is still sitting there untouched or having had some silly amount like £3.28 taken with £000s more traded than was available for trade only seconds before, and rarely do I see my own lay/back being taken 'in turn' I will generally see £000s even £0000s more traded than was sitting there when I placed my trade.

Another oddity I have noticed on more than a few occasions, I have something sitting at say 1.1, 1.2 etc, and yet somehow a few hundred quid has somehow been traded @1.01 or @1.02 etc, whilst all my own cash is still sitting there waiting to be touched, I have checked this a few times now, to see what has been traded at certain price points before I put my cash down.

Yesterday I had one, £000s traded @1,01 whilst my @1.25 lay was still sitting there and nothing else showing being traded between @1.27 and @1.02.

At first I thought I was going crazy, but this definitely happens.

This happens on a fair few markets too.

I consider this blatant Q jumping cheating.

So you are saying that the evil empire could have taken a price 25 times bigger, but didn't?

Dunno what they were doing, the team in question went on to lose, and someone had a few quid at a 1.01 lay...

Are, our accounts, totally ringfenced or can someone see what everyone is betting on the exchange and follow profitable punters, step in in front of them etc? I'm not convinced that this doesn't happen.

So a 1.01 "team" was playing and your offer of 1.25 was sitting there and no one took it?

I think this is utter bs, hth

I'm only a small player on The Exchange but this had definitely happened to me on more than two occasions ie my 'lays' at a higher price not executed when lower ones were. Hence, I'd stopped leaving positions opened.

Also, I firmly believe there is a collusion between the two "related" entities here ie 'sportsbook' and Exchange to share info about the present betting/financial positions of account holders using both these entities. I'd observed gazumping had been a regular occurrence here (for me) - the bots always seemed put in an appearance (strategically), if necessary.

When it comes to money, trusts no one especially so when your opposite number is money-oriented, I've always believed.

That is simply nonsense.  You are saying that you are offering 10-1 and some sinister force is choosing to take 8-1?

Quite obviously the price has fluctuated and you never offered the highest price.
Report impossible123 February 7, 2019 10:27 AM GMT
No. I left a 'lay' position opened for the duration of a race in progress whilst watching it on the box; a lower price eg 1.45 was executed but mine 1.6 was not. I could not fathom why, but thank-goodness it was a small position. Now I'd make sure all my positions have been matched prior the commencement of the race.
