For an advocate of a total whip ban to eulogise over Richard Johnson's Gold Cup ride (RP today) is nothing short of hypocricy. How he could bring himself to watch the climax of what I consider to have been a great race, speaks volumes for the double standards both he, and his paper, portray.
He knows nothing about Horse Racing - and never has.
Started his 'Career' as a card make-up kid man on the GREYHOUND Desk.... Then moved to 'Sports Betting' - thinking that he knew about that, too - probably because he is a Crystal Palace fan.

But, on the point raised, how can anyone advocate a total whip ban - presumebly on welfare grounds - and then suffer horses being whipped. Hypocrisy,I say!
