Trainer who trains a horse I've a share in, has been very positive to our syndicate manager about a runner of his today and says should win. Looks a good price and will post after 1pm, as told that the owner will be getting on first.

Could be set up for a classic case of aftertiming, this.
2.20 Lingfield - Golden Footsteps - 3pts Win / 10 pts 4 HORSES TO BE PLACED ON BETFAIR - Odds 8/1 Win with Bet365, Sky Bet, William Hill, Paddy Power, Betfred, Betstars, BetVictor (says 10/1 Stan James, but I can't see it myself).
2.24 in the 4 Horses to be placed market so 6/5 roughly.
Golden Footsteps is owned by some close friends of mine, and she was very weak and backward last season. She got a mark of 70 after 3 easy runs and on her handicap debut she wasn't suited by the very stiff 7f. She was given 3 months out to strengthen and since then she has been really pleasing in her work. 5 days ago she galloped 7f on the Kingsdown all weather gallop with Paradise Lake and another I've been asked not to name. These are proven mid seventies horses and she is currently rated 69. She was giving away weight in the gallop and she ended the gallop around 1.5L up on the other two horses. The yard consensus is she is very well handicapped and owners have backed this at 16s,14s,12s and 10s and now I am allowed to pass it on.
They firmly expect her to benefit from the 2-3 pacesetters in the race (lot of pace on paper) and she will be ridden to attack up the straight. Most of her rivals are exposed at this level and if there is a danger it is likely to be the Botti horse who has run in a couple of decent maidens lately.
The faster they go the better it will suit her and connections say there is zero chance of her being out the first four, but if she repeats what she has been showing on the gallops they expect her to win.
I am backing this as a place Max bet, and a decent win bet and it's deffo job on, and all owners are now on.
Oisin Murphy has been booked and he has also been told this horse is out for a gamble today, so we expect a full blooded drive.

Oisin is a %$%$, tried looking to go inside and win cosy, rather than sending down the outer. Money made but should have won.
