Have been trying to withdraw just over 1k from Unibet for about 5 months, this is the first and only account I have held with them. I have provided every document they require expeditiously. I have even had to send in pictures of me holding my passport next to my face! I have spoke to them numerous times on the phone, every time they say the matter is being reviewed. I have contacted both IBAS and the gambling commission, both have basically fobbed me off. Having now read numerous reviews on sites like trustpilot I can see I am not the only one having this problem. I was wondering if the "great!" knowledge of the forum could advise of a way forward other than the Small Claims Court as I work away and am rarely home during the week. Thanks
all these new firms and i mean all make it up as they go along just look at the situation at 365 at the moment, betfred refused to pay out on barnies touch i find it odd the amount of good publicity the press and tv give these outfits.

letter before action will ensure they know you're not messing about. should also escalate it above the tea boy / 'trader' type person you've been dealing with up to now ...

unibet is owned by the same parent company as 32red and stan james and is a public company. You will get your money. Usually the threat of small claims court and or bad publicity on tw@tter is enough to get paid. If you have provided them with everything they asked, give them a deadline and then start proceding. For SCC you only need to complete a quick online form and they will also award damages if found in your favour.

Thanks for the prompt advice. I never thought about the letter before action route and will do that today. Not on twitter but will get a few pals on the case.

Not only on line firms that don't like paying out, I had a greyhound jackpot bet up a few years ago with Fred was only for £1,800 not a bad pick up but not a fortune. went in to collect next day told come back tomorrow, thought nothing wrong with that but when they told me the same think 3 days running I had to tell them that if I come in tomorrow and you don't have my money I will have reporters from the local paper here to take photo of me stood in doorway holding betting slip that you wouldn't pay out on. Got my money when I went back.

Unibet is the present sponsor of the Champion Hurdle (CH). Maybe a "publicity" stage at the Cheltenham Festival eg placard depicting your predicament, and/or a representation to ITV Racing eg a question to the racing team for advice esp Ed Chamberlin. A sponsor of the CH needs to be taken to task/account/court for withholding a customer's funds.
Best advice to anyone is not to be duped or succumbed to "offers" from online betting firms especially those without a brick and mortar in mainland UK.
