Planning on heading over to Leopardstown for the new festival next Feb. Not been before and wondering if it's worth spending the extra for premium seating as opposed to general admission? Weekend tickets are EUR 110 & EUR 60 respectively. Any replies from people who've been would be appreciated.
You'll miss a lot of the craic in the premium seats imop. Yes the food isnt great from those vendor buses and stalls downstais, but unless you book into the restaurant in one of the top levels in advance you'll end up queing for a while in the 'general admission' restaurant on the first floor. If you want to spend the day sitting at the premium seats and betting on the tote then comfort wise it's probably the thing to do. But if you want to stroll about and mingle do the general admission, have a big breakfast beforehand and head back into City Centre for a nice meal afterwards(or any restaurant near the racecourse).

If u don't like the hustle and bustle then the premium seats are excellent value. No wait for drinks, excellent view with really friendly staff to point you in the right direction. Just a walk through the bar and you can look down into the paddock. After racing there is a free bus that will take you to the tram, which will take you to Dublin free of cost. Been the last 3 years for champions weekends and can't wait for next year. just be careful you dont get ripped off for taxi from airport, should be about 23 euro to our hotel in parnell street and got stung for 40

The only thing I would say Toffee is that there's a much bigger crowd for jumps racing so what you would consider no wait for drinks for a big flat meeting wouldn't be the same for a big jumps meeting.
