The going has been changed to swamp, river in places 
AND THE REALITY IS:
Clerk of the course Roderick Duncan said at 7.25am: "We had just 2mm of rain last night but we've had phenomenal winds all through the night. You could nearly walk round without getting your feet wet this morning - it is drying. They're not going to break any records today because this wind is blowing straight down the straight but it will be drying it."

Watch and learn from the first few races... Lies Damn Lies and Clerks walking the course and not getting wet shoes 
Which way is down the straight? Is it the same for all courses which have a flat straight?
just tried water on the kitchen top with cold hairdryer nothing happened still there
