OMG......... i assume a lot of uses lost a few penny's yesterday, just because Ryan mount is fav and its a Coolmore horse doesn't give it some god winning right to win the race. The ride on Churchill has a lot to do with where he was drawing, plus he was in the best position for saving ground, then the horse got bumped all over the place and he had no way out, it happens every day just because it was a group 1 doesn't change the fact he cant get out. SJL, i get it he should of won but once again he got cut off every time he tried to get out, and thats race riding he does it to other people, as for the 2 yr old in the group 3 , the colt was clueless to what was going on and he minded him.

so in a nutshell your saying moores goes out to ride without a plan, there was no where to go for Churchill all the way down the straight there was pace on ,he was 3rd into the straight should have been 2,3 horses of the fence not boxed in behind his supposed  main danger, same on winter only got through because his stable mates and fellow jocks moved aside,SJL form at 12 furlongs should have been trying to run the finish out of a 5,6,7 furlong horse like sudieos not sat 8 lgth behind him

One of my favourite jockeys, but got to agree, a truly horrendous weekend, SDS and Oisin Murphy among the best right now.

Can any of our Irish friends share a link or upload the Ryan Moore/Tracy Piggott 'interview' from Sunday?  Proper car-crash it was and, uniquely, no fault of Tracy's.

to be fair to moore its not a good setup for him,the trainer, other jocks, the boys etc spend 6 days discussing races, riding plans etc and moore lands at the course thinking he,s on the stables most wanted, when although the results might surprise him and us might not be a surprise to those working there 7 days a week

personally i dont believe they any where near as clever as we /they make out...i think its random and they're a bunch of guessers...just because they have the bloodlines tied up doesn't remotely equate to betting skill

Moore had had a much better Champions Day than last year eg no injudicious ride; he even tried a 'Willie Carson' on Highland Reel to finish 3rd despite the energy sapping going.

Moore was justly pilloried for many of his injudicious rides here and at Royal Ascot last year eg Seventh Heaven (F&M), OoSG (Long Distance/Gold Cup), The Gurkha (SJP) to name three.
