Can someone please explain how it benefited Coolmore or was in their best interests to get Winter beaten?
I've seem complaints on here when the bigger priced and/or #2 or #3 jockey ridden horse wins, yet have also seen accusations of Heffernan taking it easy when to forum judges he could have beaten the shorter priced/#1 jockey ridden stable mate. So it seems like the only way they can keep everyone happy is to have just the one runner in every race. |

Do the stats on how many of their favs get turned over - as many as lesser stables
balance of Coolmore power will go down as their last uber stallion Galileo gets on their other Stallions are not sire of sires |

Irish racing is utterly honking, even at the very top level.

I'm not saying they were trying to get Winter beaten, but Aiden said it himself in the interview afterwards, the winner was the only one not to have a Group One. Now they all do - that's very much job done for a filly... |

Great point about the Moyglare,millhouse.

muscatt told you how it works the fillies only need 1 group one on their dance card and even if they have duck egg after duck egg amongst the group 1 their value is set in stone, where as the colts value ie Churchill,s has plummeted since his irish 2000 win because of the subsequent defeats

I met up with a pal last night to give him money for a certain bet I wanted on the in the bookies today. I wont go into specifics but it does involve Order Of St George. About six weeks ago I got slaughtered following AOB's horses ridden by Moore.
Having read this thread I may just sit back and watch.. |

** I will correct myself there. That should read the race Order Of St George is involved in.

The more I see of this mob the more I think they are just seeking to share around the black type, as 1st time poster says.
It was pretty obvious before the 1000 Guineas that it was Winter that they wanted, Rhododendron was 'just starting out' (this is O'Brien code for not going to be ridden remotely positively or forwardly), with the Oaks being the race they'd earmarked for her Group One. I'd also suspect that Moore isn't choosing which one he's going ride in these races, he's just being put on the one that best suits the plan for today, which may be why he's riding so poorly for the stable... |

5 of them in that race and not a single one of them has the sense to set a decent gallop to give the others a chance lol

And their default MO, when they have multiple entries, is something up front, something in mid-div, and something held-up.

muscatt said a few seasons back he vowed never to bet in group 1 races where AOB, had more than 1 runner, ffs that's ruling out about 75% of group ones and 99% of irish ones,if you cant back with confidence in group ones what can you punt in

Seen it all now, Seventh Heaven a non trier in a Gp2. Coolmore have no shame.

I'm not saying they were trying to get Winter beaten, but Aiden said it himself in the interview afterwards, the winner was the only one not to have a Group One. Now they all do - that's very much job done for a filly... But then wouldn't it make sense to not have Hydrangea face 3 of their previous Gr1 winners if they wanted to get her a win at that level too? Especially since she was being continuously beaten by Winter in Gr1 races? |
|
By:
its not new been going on for many years you've got to back them all or have savers on the others weve seen more this year as millhouse pointed out the value of a horse after winning a group race increases if winter won most of its races would its value be greater than to have 2 3 4 more group winners from the same stable also now worth more.
The English derby winner goes for the irish derby and his other one wins it he now has 2 derby winners very clever I think we forget its a business based on breeding and in the same business we would be doing the same as they get the same prize money just massive increase in value |

or it could be AOB is a chancer who hasn't a clue who the best horses are so uses the scattergun approach in the hope of not leaving a group 1 behind, takes this years 2yrold fillies with whats been shown on the track you could cover AOB,S 5,6 best fillies with a blanket hard to believe all 5,6 are possible group 1 champions at 3,if he has a champion filly for next year maybe we havnt seen her yet
