Makes me laugh I've backed this one all season but had to give up on it lol

Is there really any point anymore in betting in races where they have multiple entries? Jockey bookings mean nothing, previous form means nothing. As you say granitjack, it really has become nothing more than a lottery..
By:
They've all got their Group Ones - a very convenient result...

Anybody fancy the AOB fav in the next?

They should call all their fillies Caster Semenya - pmsl
By:
APOB did issue a warning and Winter could possibly have targets at Longchamp,Ascot and Del Mar before the end of the year-there was always a chance she would be undercooked.
By:
Makes the Moyglare interesting tomorrow lol should be 6-1 the 4 or 5 of them whatever it is. Shame they don't couple like they do in France be easy pickings!
By:
The Racing Post writers will ask the relevant questions....

Aladdin, if you think nothing makes sense now, wait until after the Moyglare tomorrow, imo...

By:
you've got laugh at gary and kevin making excuses need ther run etc, etc, okay we buy that next question, how did it beat double group 1 winner,2nd fav roly poly by about 10 lgth,LOL
![]() ![]() |
By:
Under cooked? She should have beat them if only half fit
By:
And the break was the problem? She only ran a month ago at Goodwood!!!
By:
The reserves are running as insurance policies, but you can be guaranteed that wasn't the outcome discussed beforehand. Lordan was in a tricky spot!
By:
And group 1 winner Roly Poly drew the short straw this time making the running...not to mention Rhodadenron supposedly the best fully they had this season not even being mentioned!!!
By:
I'd be pretty sure they're delighted she beat Winter, Cider..?
By:
For a stable with their fire power - I find them unbackable - would rather be on Godolphin
even if they have 5% of CM group 1's - bet they had a shed load on hydrangea |
By:
I backed Roly Poly assuming she was running for herself. Heffernans look rounding the bend to see if Moore wanted to go up the inside proved otherwise. However can't complain, I backed Nelson earlier purely because it wasn't the first choice.
By:
Rhododendron was never put in the race with any sort of chance - with her bleeding issue they've got their eye on the Breeders cup, imho...
By:
Winter was meant to win obs. Not the first time that the reserve has had to 'fall in' for this firm.

Aidens team talk this morning.
"Right lads the shrewdies on the Betfair forum are on to us so Wayne if you could just get up in the last 50 yards and pip Ryan a head we should be ok. They're very very clever but we might just get away with it....... oh and Ryan, i've laid yours for 50 eur's so make sure she doesn't win please" |
By:
Just lay all their favourites then, simple.
By:
well AOB has just kicked the irish pundits excuses into touch the winner had the same 8 days off as the fav, shows you missing days means nothing when just because your work partner has 8 days off,you have the same days off at group 1 level, basically AOB hasn't a clue hence his scattergun approach
By:
It's about betting with your eyes open. Winter wasn't good enough, end of story but if you're betting one of the back up runners you're not going to be all out if numero uno is in contention.
By:
Sparrow - just lay all their favourites
but what does that then say about the worlds premier breeding / training operation firstly and secondly if that is how the best in the business operate - what does it say about racing today - particularly irish racing |
By:
Sir John Lavery an awful bet here -beaten in Lingfield Derby Trial -now running over a mile.
By:
Winter is a multi Gp 1 winner over 8f and who also ran her opponents into the ground over 10f in the Nassau did not manage to hold on in the Matron over 8f, how is that possible? If she was that unfit, why run her Mr O'Brien? She was also seriously considered for the Irish Champions Stake against the colts over 10f which I find very difficult to fathom.
The major disappointment of the race was Qemah; held up at the back, not settled, came wide at the bend but could not make further progress. A wasted trip, I think. Maybe she'll atone on Arc day, if she's running. |

you only have to listen to chappers on the morning line today whether he was spouting shoite or not is immaterial
he said all of irish racing new about the trainer done for drugs a couple of years ago but reckon they hadn't heard of the drug used by the trainer at chelt festival but said its hard to believe a no mark trainer was the only one using this drug, yet the rest of the panel didn't even question chappers just accepted it as true and it hasn't been picked up by anyone since, atr, ruk, itv, gary Obrien, all of which would suggest drug use is rife in racing |
By:
Didnt have the tactical speed that you would associate with a horse that was badly beaten in Lingfield Derby Trial.
