Here's an excel sheet that works out the equity for L15s depending on what equity you are giving up.
You just need to put in the actual odds (betfair fine in liquid market)and book odds in cells D3 and E3 and the return is given in K8 for a standard and N9 for a combi of 5 horses. https://1drv.ms/x/s! AtKSOpG8b_uugTA4XJi1clO0X6P3 |

there is a download button at the top of the page.

The spread sheet is only if you have 5 winners at the same price.
you can have 5 examples that show a return greater that 15 on the spreadsheet but would return less than 15 if combined in one bet. I agree with the King of Dubai- few extra hours at work-easier than taking money from the biggest parasite on the highstreet. |
|
By:
The point of the spreadsheet is simply to show that you can't really give up that much, particularly at shorter prices, you are more than welcome to write your own with individual prices

a fantastic bet on a Saturday as that is when you tend to get the lowest percentage books at Baldys
in theory, if you pick four horses, say 9/2 to 5/1, and get one that starts 3/1 industry then you have a slight edge, any winner and you get roughly your stake back |

Was the reason he cut out the BOG all races happy hours and went to 12 BOG a day.
Shrewd punters could not possibly lose with this offer, and even the mugs found it easier to come by better returns. Most High Street firms now double if you take a price but still X3 at SP. |

Is it only in shop?

Good detailed responses that you, will take a look into Excel document and formula.

if you're going to get a lot of 2 winners and some 3 winners with the odd 4, then the concession doesn't kick in, but you've probably took the worse prices and lost out.
I think you need to be backing horses at 5/1 minimum. |

He is uncompetitive. It's the same with his first goalscorer prices when he's Double Delight. Personally, I'd rather back a player at shorter odds, and have the chance to double/triple up.

By:
Suppose its how you interpret the bonus being moved from 4x to 3x on 1 winner.
Presumably as people were making it pay but who knows. |

I think from memory Simon little was marked up by Fred for perking up dirty ew lucky 15s with him
Like k o d said I think that was back in the day of 4 x odds tho |

mugs bet..26% of outlay on singles..

long term and with average run, you should be in front at treble odds
|
|
By:
so when you do the net whats the aim? either 1 3 or 4 winners?

I believe bookmakers only make 8% profit on the Lucky 15 bet at X3.
Therefore at BOG they must make less, that will be why a number of them are only X2 if you take a price. |

frog2 run a thread on here re: lucky 15s and posted his bet every day. Very shrewd bloke and got all 4 up one day (he was doing tenners) on Sportsbook. He won a five figure amount and then the restriction kicked in. He got it up again for something like 37Ps.
No idea if he was getting on anywhere else but used to post on General Betting quite often. |

Ladbrokes used to be treble the odds one winner in shops but dunno if it is nowadays?

My thinking to the person asking am i trying to get 1 or 3 or 4 winners....
I suppose all bar 2 winners have benefit. 1 at Treble the odds depending on price: 3/1 example your only losing 33% outlay - yeah youve lost but dont deserve to be making money if youve got 3-4 cards to go at and you only generate 1 winner. 2- An obvious flaw. 3- Making handy profit and hopefully going under the radar (stake dependent) at 3/1 average your getting paid @ 15/2. 4- Making lots getting paid @ 40/1 not 100/1 if you had a straight acca (at 3/1). For what stake would a high street bookies pull the plug (ish)? Also where are you getting "they only make 8%" from? Interesting. Also what value percentage wise does BOG have in your opinion. |

b.o.g is huge
also fred max payout is 50k on multiples if you ever got lucky worth doing the £1 e/w accum ladcroakes to cover shortfall |
|
By:
50K - Is that correct??
|
|
By:
xmoneyx always quotes these incorrect max payouts. I haven't checked Fred's T&C's, but I can guarantee that's not true.
|
|
By:
fred doesn't do bog online for L15s, I'd be surprised if he did it in the shops. His prices are generally very poor, and the margin on sp bets (eg if sp is 4-1 the real odds are 4.7-1) is enough to make the bet unprofitable.
So you are left with looking for horses where the early price is likely to be better than sp and good luck finding four of those from fred's prices, even on a saturday. |
|
By:
it depends on shop prices in which town you are in
for instance the lads shop in centre of leicester is double odds one winner but there is one out of town which is treble stan james aka megabet are treble odds but max stake per unit of £2 bog on some races paddy treble odds 1 winner and bog between 11am 1pm also now doing that on their betting terminals lads do 2 meetings per day bog from 11am fred do 12 races a day bog and treble odds 1 winner hills dont do bog and are double odds corals roughly the same as lads |

I have phoned every bookmaker account I have and the best I can come up with is PP. 3 times the odds for 1 winner but shops only. No BOG unless it is the happy hour.....12-1pm. (I don't have an account with baldies)
