I did a very small e/w double today as I didn't really fancy anything apart from these two a tiny little bit.

Dark Crystal who won at 15/2 and Saleh who I got at 6/1 (BOG) in a £2.50 e/w double

If Saleh wins I can get a total return of £166.72. If it gets placed I would get a return of £17.97.

I've been offered £26.67 to cash out my bet. I was expecting £50. Saleh is 5/1 and 9/2 in places now.

Is cash out always this bad?

If you were expecting £50, then you're delusional. You've got less than £30 won so far, why would they nearly double that?

I now know why it's poor. It says my total max returns is £128.59. As the system as not taken the BOG in to account. That's over £30 less than it should be.

That's got fook all to do with it, Prozac.

Your winner means you have about £30 going on to your next horse. If cashouts were going to offer substantially more for doubles, then we'd all be backing our singles in double bets, then cashing out after the first leg has won.

True but they are only offering 9/2 on my horse when I have 6/1 but I understand your point. Thanks.

Cash out is rubbish overall though. I had £50 on a runner at Epsom, 14/1, it went in to 12's, and cash out from memory was about £16.....great stuff.

Anyone who even contemplates Cash Out or Sportsbook really needs help.
That ain't  pushing it for anyone's benefit  other than their own - fact.

Usually one is better off laying off similar amount offered in the Exchange from experience.

I started a 40p E/W L15 a couple of weeks ago with 16/1 & 12/1 winners - typical of my luck...a smaller stake than usual
as I'd received just over £12 from a previous bet.

Ifwecan & Withernsea were the first two and I took 20/1 for the third runner Racing Angel which got backed into 12/1 - can
anyone gauge how much my cash-out offer was prior to the off?

Also...any tips on a formula? I ask as I think I've noticed a pattern and I'm usually quite close with my guesses.

£300?

Cashouts on Lucky 15's can be pretty good.

With these L15s with the first 2 winning they usually offer the cumulative winnings so far and the highest price one of the last 2 winning ,4th leg nowhere.
If you get the gist.

I can never quite suss out how they calculate the 'lucky' cash outs. When I've had the first two up in the past, many times my only way of beating the cash out, is for both my next two selections to win.
By:

Ken - it was about £411 and that was jacked up to £449 when the third selection was punted on from 20/1 into 12/1.
I let it ride and the last two (as I fully expected) were duly bummed.

Being a typically inveterate gambling bellend I couldn't help but think this is gonna be the big one I've been waiting decades for, and for the sake of a difference of about £335 (already guaranteed about £113 at that stage) I wouldn't have been able to live with my ball-less cowardice if they came in.

I have to admit it was tempting as my finger hovered over the cash-out trigger as they entered the stalls.
I firmly believe my decision could change a future result as 'the gods' despise me Cry

Chav - I've got to say I totally disagree with you mate...the prices of the other runners is irrelevant in my opinion - only if the odds have greatly changed from the price taken does it have a bearing.

As for my 'formula' I find I'm regularly in the vicinity of the cash-out offered if I add two points to each winner and treat the last two selections as non-runners, thereby multiplying by two, twice.

Eg. 16/1 & 12/1 winners - 18 x 14 = 252 x 2 x 2 = 1008 x 0.40 stake makes it around £403.
The offer was £411 (which overlooked the place part of the bet) before the third leg was gambled on.

Hopefully some of you will post in future what your cash-out offers are when the first selection has won so we can get a better handle on this.

PS - I also suspect cash-out offers take into account what's already guaranteed as a return.

Your sums look pretty good to me Gibberish. It's not very often I get the first two up on a lucky15, but next time I do, I will try your method and see how close it is.

If I'm doing one online, I sometime split my stakes and do two. Then I'll cashout one, and let the other ride. Having said that, I've never cashed out after two winners, I'll let the third horse lose, then take a hit.

When I split the stakes now & again (eg. two 50/1 pokes in a huge handicap) I put them in separate bets in case I can benefit from a cash-out...if one's 130 or so on Bumfair.

PS - you can try the cash-out if your first selection wins...but multiply it by 8 instead of 4 if it's in a L15.

eg. £1 Lucky 15. First horse wins at 10's, then cashout roughly £80?
By:
Gibberish
When: 08 Jun 17 20:52
No...add 2 pts making it 12 and multiply by 8 = around £96.

I had another episode a couple of years ago which is the only time I've ever profited from a cash-out but that was in a virtually no-lose situation - it was a very similar scenario...I got about £16 from my usual Saturday afternoon £1 E/W L15 so I did a 50p one on speculative handicap selections as I couldn't be arsed withdrawing what was in my account.

I had 10/1 (Manatee Bay) & 16/1 (Mercer's Row) winners and a cash-out offer of £438 which I just had to take as the remaining runners were 33/1 pokes which I was able to bounce several times between 65 & 80 on here - if either would've obliged I had about £2.5K & £3K softeners as a silver lining.

As ever with me & these these kind of bets over the years...they both took it in Trap 2 but at least I made the correct decision and I had huge potential wins if one of the others fluked in.

PS - that's why I'd advise when splitting the stake between two outsiders, put the bets on separately.

I thought I'd post as a prompter for people placing L15s today to inform us of their cash-out offers if their FIRST selection wins today
as this will help to calculate its workings...thereby preventing the enemy ripping us off even more with their dubious & insulting offers.

It'd be nice if a few lucky posters could let us know what the offers are if the first two selections oblige...though I fear this would
encourage the bullshítting brigade to steam into action.

That is a poor cash out, but as you're not guaranteed a return yet, then they can offer really poor value, especially as some fools would take it.

Have a look at Delta's 'SDS day iyo' thread, Gibberish. Chav has got the first three up, and he's put the cash out offers up. That should help you with your figures/theory.

Thanks Ken - well done to the guys with the SDS bonanza Wink

The information provided on that thread is very helpful for working out the possible
cash-out offers in future.

Looks like my rough calculations underestimate the cash-out offers, though I've always
been aware of that...but with these figures, there seems to be more of a discrepancy
than I thought there'd be.

I've put the amount what I would've guessed first and then the factor it needs to be
multiplied by to get the real cash-out offered.

PS - my rough 'formula' is calculated by adding 2 pts and then multiplying by 2 for
each runner to come.
Also, the place part of the bet has been overlooked so that would reduce the disparity.

10p E/W L63

1. 8/1 won
2. 5/1 won   my guess of £112 x 1.33 to get the real offer of £148 (10 x 7 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2)
3. 5/2 won   my guess of £252 x 1.26 to get the real offer of £316 (10 x 7 x 4.5 x 2 x 2 x 2)
4. 9/4 won   my guess of £536 x 1.26 to get the real offer of £677 (10 x 7 x 4.5 x 4.25 x 2 x 2)
5. 5/2 pl    my guess of £268 x 1.24 to get the real offer of £330 (10 x 7 x 4.5 x 4.25 x 2)
6. 2/1 won

As I asked last week...maybe some of you guys can post your cash-out offers tomorrow, even if it's
just your first selection that wins...hopefully with more to follow.
