I was aware that Glitter Girl would be taken out of the betting for the 2.35pm Ascot race. I saw that the reduction factor would be 15.5%.
Knowing this I backed Icepire at 2.52 and calculated that 15.5% would leave me with odds after reduction of 2.12 (or 2.13).
I then returned to look at what had happened.
The reduction factor had changed from 15.5% to 18.2% for Glitter Girl. I now have a bet at 2.06.

I can see that the sums are correct. What I don't understand is why the reduction factor changed from 15.5% to 18.2%.
Please can you help me understand such a change (especially as the odds didn't fluctuate very much on Glitter Girl)

They are a complete con ...

If you somehow manage to secure a good price on a subsequently heavily gambled horse which shortens through the morning / early afternoon. As sure as eggs are eggs a nice conner with a decent reduction factor will manifest itself to help save the layers. It is most uncanny
