Is it too late for today's stewards to review the schooling ride around this course Ms Pendleton gave this horse a year ago ? !!

if I was the owners I would be gutted,  got involved in the PR put a cycalist on your horse got beat finished forth put a proper jockey on and win.... imagine if you put a proper jockey on last year??? the mind boggles...

Exactly, Victoria did what she was told and did it well. I did take note at the time that he would have won easily with a top amateur and backed him place only today with Wonderful Charm my win bet. Wrong way round again. I can see Nicholls winning the next 2 races now.

The proper jockey nearly threw it away by being knackered with afurlong to go

She brings absolutely zero to the ITV coverage . Media hype last year , and creating hype for the media this year . Get her off the tally for goodness sake .

They got it half right last year, they put a cyclist on the horse but they should have let a cycling team train the horse, it would have won half the track thenMischief

What a bunch of sour grapes. The Foxhunters is amateur sport FOR FUN! Victoria gave the sport huge coverage last year and it was only the inhibition that any inexperienced rider would have that got her beaten. Bryony is a professional in all but name and it showed. As I said on another thread, when given the chances, lady amateurs are as good or better than the men and have swept the board in the 3 amateur races. Good male amateurs soon turn pro but the ladies don't so the likes of Nina, Katie and now Lisa O'Neill and Gina Andrews are winning the big ones.

I think it meant a bit more to nicholls watching him watch the finish
Report Fangsy March 17, 2017 4:38 PM GMT
Sage - if you want to ride just for fun you should do it on the P2P circuit or at home, not on one of the most important days of the year on live TV with vast amounts of money slopping around.

The money Pendleton was paid should disgust you then.

"Sour grapes" ? !!

Thanks "sageform" for confirming that you can't cope with others holding a different but logically fair opinion to your own.

By the way, any of my comments aimed at Ms Pendleton's poor ride last year are nothing to do with her gender and have always been everything to do with her farcical inexperience for riding in a race upon which millions of pounds are wagered and which takes place at one of this country's showpiece occasions across all sports, not just horse racing.
