A good rider is worth an awful lot in these races and if you are selective they are a great betting medium.

They might have been a useful betting medium for short priced punters but that was about 30 years old. These days virtually every half-decent horse is sold on. They are not much more predictable than your average handicaps.

koikeeper, is the undisputed authority on the forum, on Hunter Chases!

He's put a horse up at 20/1 that's gone off at 5/1, what more can you ask for?

I didn't play today, but horse's don't have to win, to make a profit, (if you're a trader like me!)

Was a perfectly reasoanble shout. No chance you would have got any sort of decent bet at 20s mind.

"Stalker alert 2" - name all these followers claiming a winning trade out please?

If you cannot see backing at 20/1 when they go off 5/1 isn't a good bet win or lose you should seek another hobby (NAP).

List them all please, the stage is yours 1st time poster..

1st time poster, surely you can see that at 20s it was an EW bet, even for me.

I find these hunter chases very difficult to work out......it tough knowing how much these horses have deteriorated .....plus some horses have only run in point to points...with most meetings having a hunter chase and doing placepots I do like looking what koikeeper says about the race...so I hope he doesn't  stop posting

As a matter of principle, I'd be delighted pre-race if the horse I'd backed at 20/1 was supported into 5/1 even allowing for a Rule 4 deduction.

The fact that in this instance the inexperienced jockey fell off the horse (and the race was won by a horse that had been well beaten by the selection previously) is just one of those things.

1st time loser - name all these people you claim traded out. It isn't hard is it, unless you just made it up to suit your own stalking agenda.

Shame your New Years resolution wasn't to stop being a complete cont for the coming year. Must be too hard to live up to though for you so can see why you haven't bothered trying.

He can't make a statement and then not back it up without some substance or it will make him look extremely sad and stupid to everyone else. I know he's thick but he can't surely be that thick can he??

In all fairness the horse was a million when the guy fell off him, an absolute no hoper. It was in the process of running like a drain. The guys who made it a 25/1 chance were alot closer to the mark than its SP.
The fact that the winner finished 17 lengths behind it last time has no relevance whatsoever, even though its an attempt to vindicate the poor selection.

wether its poor or not in your opinion, if stuck up pre race with a reason why, then surely he doesnt deserve the abuse he gets.

Keep on mincing imo, better off doing that than betting on the nags. Nothing to do with the horse not turning up and being beat before it fell. If you can't see that backing 20/1 shots going off at 5/1 are good bets you are better sticking to having nights in with blokes who watch the ballet.
By:
Magic__Daps
When: 12 Jan 17 19:24
Why are they going to post on the thread with the 5/2 winner??? It don't suit their own agenda. Expect mincer is smoking a cigar around 1st time posters house shouting kois name out when one he puts up is beat. Sad conts who couldn't make the game pay with tomorrow's paper (nap)

I'm not abusing anyone, but im just saying i dont get the reverence being afforded to this person. I cannot see any reason given why this horse should have been backed.
Hunter chasers are littered with cripples, rejects, horses with ailments and injuries. Very rarely do horses without baggage take part in them and to me nowadays in particular, you will not find worse betting mediums, no matter how many videos you watch.

Win or lose backing 20/1 pokes that go off 5/1 will leave you skint!!! So if it wins in its next few runs what will you say??? Backing in any race has risks but if you have any edge you bet them. You haven't a scooby, the same as 1st time poster who has disappeared

Clueless (NAP) and (NB)

PS - you cannot see any reason to back it because you haven't a clue about its form. No doubt you thought mon partain was still 150 rated and should have carried them home. If it won we would have heard from you I expect saying how much it had in hand!!!

i only posted because koi has made a virtue over the last 4 seasons in saying he only backs on the nose, doesnt bet on betfair and doesnt trade or arb,yet a horse beaten when falling that he backed ew is seen as a good selection because people could have traded or arbed, begs the question of course why koi supporters who claim he always gives them a run for their money would want to be arbing, trading out on a 20,s shot,if they thought he was that good shouldnt they have been doubling their stakes

It really is pretty pointless getting involved with 1st time poster as he's obviously a bit dim. Probably picked on as child so thinks it's ok to have a go back in later life at someone he will never meet, and a bit envious of because he has a few people who sticks up for him.

Feel free to pick holes in anyone if you can back them up, but the bottom line is you can't. A sad case who is thick as fook and nothing better to do.

had to laugh at that Grin

thats the trouble, I have said and will keep on saying that OR under rules have hardly any bearing in Hunters.... they run in Hunter Chases for a reason Wink..... Much better to compare P2P ratings..

Koi, guess that's a question for each individual. A grand, maybe a monkey? It doesn't really matter as bookmakers don't accept bets from anyone they don't want to accept bets from particularly on low grade racing the day before! Good pick at the price anyway, I could see where you were coming from even though it didn't jump (jockey looked crap to me to be honest). Was merely making the point that when you quoted a massive 20/1 nobody would have been able to get it. Anyway, good luck and don't let the critics grind you down.
