Said to the girl behind the till, can you quote me a price on Jason day for sbs

She goes there's no special prices on the golf, without even bothering to look (what did she mean by "special" prices anyway?)

I then (rather irritated by this point) asked her to ring up and find out a price

she then rang up and was eventually told to check on the screen again by someone in head office

then she managed to find the relevant market

why are there so many morons working down betting shops?

Many years ago I wanted a bet on George McNeill in the then Coral sponsored Powderhall Sprint. Phoned them and they were not taking bets on it.

Its not about what they know, its about how little the bookies can pay them.

On here a couple of years ago I couldn't find the markets for the breeders cup on here. So contacted the online help button. Asked where are the markets for the breeders cup.

BF "what sport is that please"

Me "Horse racing"

BF "where is it taking place?"

Me "America"

BF "Sorry we only cover the big meetings over there"

Many moons ago, on the phone to them.

Can I have a price for Carraig Paws in the Reading Masters please. (Defunct greyhound race, one of the biggest in the country at the time).

Pause...lots of sighing and tutting, and frantic keyboard tapping.

'Sorry Sir, we've only prices for the Greater Greensboro Open and Portuguese Masters this week'.

Some time back watched a porkie eat donna and chips and the trimmings on the counter and burp didn't wait for her to fart thought that's it. That's your modern day betting office for you. Should add one of the dandies in the betting office went out to collect takeaways for everybody including staff. Bootifull.
