"Lol,some veritable bargains."

Point taken - but do remember that whilst you are able to pay £228 000+ for pitches .....others budgets may only be £228! - so "veritable bargains" may in fact appeal.

That said, i don't suppose such cheap purchases will allow clandestine deals with racecourse management to the detriment and threat to the livelihoods of all other on course bookmakers.

So, as long as you and your Courtyard buddies are ok you can continue to scoff at everybody else - especially those of us that are currently trawling through the list of "veritable bargains".

I see Lingfield AW 4 is up for sale .......probably not required by one of your Courtyard colleagues Joe on account of the extra days he now has this winter at Cheltenham perhaps?

In all seriousness though it's such a shame that the Courtyard bookmakers have not had a rethink as to their short-term opportunism being a (possible) misjudgement on their part - but then again, perhaps they feel that their perceived personal gain(s) at the expense of their individual reputations is worth it in their eyes.

It will be interesting to see, as the legal fees mount just who will be asked to foot the bill on the Courtyard bookmakers' side - especially if and when judgement were to go against them......

How would you bet Demo?

Case presentation will as in all litigation will be crucial regarding the outcome. Without knowing who will pass judgement, and it will need to be somebody able to grasp the concepts which could take time consuming, lengthy explanations, I like you can see the briefs being the only certain winners. As for the resolution I suspect the current situation will remain despite the tainted methods that brought about its inception. No offers.
