For education purposes you may like to investigate this - https://www.timeform.com/horse-racing/features/rowley/the-timeform-knowledge-sectional-analysis-872015
Also Timeforms speed figures are more accurate than most! (check them out. |

Not subscribed to any at the minute mate, using a couple of freebies like I say early days so trying to get a feel for it before committing fully. As an example Laurence Taylor who does them for atr you get a snippet of races (top 4 best rated), and you get there last 6 runs but some have numbers in brackets like I've mentioned in OP, was just wondering why he'd do this as opposed to without brackets.

Brackets on LT ratings usually mean figure clocked on a different surface.
EG Zumurudee last time (72) that's because it was achieved on turf not AW Hope this helps. |

Final speed figures on their own are common property(not much value in prices) spotting the unlucky, poorly drawn and those given too much to do, or used too early can lead to value?

the best speed ratings are the greyhonds when you clock em yourself..why when them traps open them 6 dogs run as fast has they can
horse its all about tactics not speed.. re handicaps it how far they won re their next mark.... not the clock |

Yes that's what I'm doing at the minute John getting the ones with big numbers at some point in the last 12 months, then watching the races closely. I'm ignoring anything other than AW racing atm and touch wood things are working out.
Cheers Zipper I know where your coming from in regards the dogs, it's not for me though mate love the horses. |

You might find that speed ratings also work better on Southwell where horses run hell for leather to get a position to avoid the kickback rather than Lingfield where they are often run at a dawdle before a 2f dash from the last bend.
