After several poor seasons he, like Donald McCain, seems to have rediscovered his mojo and is winning plenty of bad races with very well handicapped bad horses.

Wonder if Dadsintrouble (3.20) or Satellite (5.40) will get him off the Cheltenham cold list on Friday?

To be on the 'cold list at Cheltenham' would imply he's at some point been on the 'hot list'.

Having yet to saddle a winner there, he's yet to make the list, hot, cold or tepid.

One Nation - with the greatest of respect, being on a hot streak is no prerequisite for subsequently finding yourself on a cold list. Some trainers (and jockeys) are cloaked in perma frost as far as Cheltenham is concerned.

Good luck with your selections, Cash Is King.

The winless run stretches back to 2007

One Nation - Didn't make any selections and as a general rule don't back Tim Vaughan's runners.  Merely posed a question about two horses that appear to have a better chance of breaking Vaughan's long losing sequence than most of the 79 - or 137 as advised by swift-tuttle - runners that are responsible for such a risible performance.

Cash is King I quite fancy Satellite myself. Rated about 90 on flat at his best arguably he may have quite a bit in hand off 117 today over hurdles.  He did not impress last time out in a muddling race but I liked him when I saw him win earlier in his career at Chepstow. He has a decent attitude and I think he will appreciate a strong pace which he may well get in this conditionals race.  He has drifted significantly from 13/2 or so last evening which is not ideal but has been backed a little in last few hours. Given the trainers recent form - 12 winners in last month, with a decent conditional booked who is 1 from 1 for Vaughan,  I think he is worth a punt.

Take care

Fearless

Never had a winner there, but in 2011 he had 8 runners-up from 20 course runners.

James Ewart also not had a winner...

Destroyer Deployed came closest for Vaughan - beaten half a length in April 2013. Also 2nd in the Champion Bumper at 66/1 2 years earlier.

Be Bop Boru also ran couple of great races for him a Cheltenham ged

Yes. And unlucky with Beshabar when he was BD 2 out when Chicago Grey fell in front of him in Nov 2010. He might well have won that day.

0-3 today.

Tim Vaughan at Cheltenham. The gift that keeps on giving.

Wasn't the Beshabar fall the one that ended CW's career, or did he make another comeback after that Confused

Hang on, just checked, he did come back from that, but suffered two broken arms when the horse came down Sad
