With John Ferguson saying how he wants to slim down Godolphin then surely their Irish arm should be the first to go. Have Michael Halford or Will McCreery ever had a decent Godolphin horse between them? I understand the use of Jim Bolger and they've have a couple of decent ones with him recently in Trading Leather and Dawn Approach (incidentally both bought from him in training) and as a trainer I think he is far ahead of the other two. Considering their UK operation has had a pretty decent season I can see Sheik Mo having big questions to ask regarding the future of the operation there. Halford and McCreery probably don't get the same quality of horses that Bin Suroor and Appleby get but they each need to find a good one soon. Bolger is probably less at risk but Moonlight Magic hasn't quite reached the heights that he could have and there has been a couple of regally bred flops, that half sister to Teofilo, Bean Feasa, being one.
Does anyone see a future for the operation over there?
