Poor, but you are not suggesting it made any difference to the result are you WR ?
Report workrider October 8, 2016 6:05 PM BST
Yes I am ,boxed in , a slowly run race , on a stayer ..All in all a stinker Flew...
Report kavvie October 8, 2016 6:06 PM BST
she never put it into the race..i had no bet but i watched it.it was as bad a ride as ive seen from nina..i wonder was mr ryanair watching?!?!?
Report kavvie October 8, 2016 6:06 PM BST
also 8/11 to 6/4
Report Kriskin October 8, 2016 6:07 PM BST
Was she riding to instructions??  She knew what she was doing
Report Dan Chipowski October 8, 2016 6:10 PM BST
More absolute indefensible filth. Drifter and ridden accordingly. Winner quickened well, but Nina ensured she wanted NOTHING to do with the obvious route down the outside. Starts trying when the race is over.

Filth is filth.
Report itsonlyagameyouknow October 8, 2016 6:10 PM BST
rancid stuff
Report Colonel Sanders October 8, 2016 6:12 PM BST
that looked as bad as I've seen in a while. Guessing the stewards won't bother having a word?
Report handtorofe October 8, 2016 6:25 PM BST
Agree about knowing what she was doing.
Report pablo-fanque October 8, 2016 6:35 PM BST
I just watched this race and it's a tricky one .

2 out she is going well, to me it looks like she thinks she has everything in front of her beat when she is going to make her move , but , just as she pulls out to make a run, allez sea comes past and gets first run on her , also , at the point allez sea passes her it blocks her in and checks her momentum .
Report workrider October 8, 2016 6:40 PM BST
So what you are really saying Pablo is, all the pieces fell into place...
Report a bitofinterest October 8, 2016 6:41 PM BST
its ok,IMA will be along shortly to explain the ride

nina is one of the best riders in these parts.she has years of experience.it was rancid..pure and simple..
Report quantize October 8, 2016 7:18 PM BST
It's why Gigginstown left mullins. Willie wind and the others let them lay
Report Kriskin October 8, 2016 7:59 PM BST
She had the cheek to look over her left shoulder to see the winner coming on the outside
Report unclepuncle October 8, 2016 8:04 PM BST
Just watched it on sportinglife webiste - Absolutley nothing to see here imo.
Report speakup October 8, 2016 8:08 PM BST
Best amateur jockey around. Not her finest hour but no way would it have beaten the winner...lot of people talking through their pockets in the getting out stakes. Not as bad as Colemans non trier abourd Taquin du Seuil.
Report kavvie October 8, 2016 8:18 PM BST
so shes cantering 12 lengths off the pace with 2f to go,every other rider off the bridle, and she making no effort til the second fav goes by and then she hits off another horse just to make sure? then she makes an effort with 1/2 a furlong to go?and theres"absolutely nothing to see here"   maybe you looked at the wrong race?
Report kavvie October 8, 2016 8:19 PM BST
and i had no bet
Report pablo-fanque October 8, 2016 8:22 PM BST
12 lengths off the pace with 2f

you sure about that ?

have another guess
Report kavvie October 8, 2016 8:34 PM BST
how far so you?
Report kavvie October 8, 2016 8:39 PM BST
Held up behind leaders, raced keenly early, disputed 6th at halfway, dropped to rear briefly and outpaced under 2f out, ran on inside final furlong into never nearer 3rd, just failed for 2nd, not trouble winner (op 4/5 tchd 6/4)

watch it here , you don't have to log in to watch it .

tell me if you stick with 12 lengths 2f out
Report bigmart October 9, 2016 12:37 AM BST
agree with kavvie the stink in the betting before the race coinciding with that ride calls for a pull

i wd like her to explain why no effort was made sooner when they were all getting shuffled along she was having a cuppa shocker of a ride it was , they need to look at this and the lay bets on her
Report EVILROYSLADE October 9, 2016 8:12 AM BST
Just watched the race. The winner was produced perfectly . Carberry got caught out by JJ. He is a very very good jockey. Better than Carberry IMO. I doubt her mount would have beaten the winner anyway. It's the "drift" that draws one's attention to a defeat. Not a great ride, but not bent.

Sorry for the double post! Bloody nuisance!
Report everton1978 October 9, 2016 10:07 AM BST
She thought she had everything in front of her covered and without being kept in for a few strides when Codd went past her she would have quite easily got second. Not her finest hour imo as I think she's a fantastic jockey but then again so is JC. Add to that the horse probably wants further and softer ground
Report bigmart October 9, 2016 10:45 AM BST
as soon as the race started i new after a fur something stunk
g elliots horses 9 times out of 10 are up with the van if wanted
when it drifts from 4/5 to 6/4 on track someone new Devil
ride was so negative really hard to believe the horse was wanted !
Report workrider October 9, 2016 10:58 AM BST
Elliott had a bad day there yesterday , could have lost both his fallers. They way they stacked up rounding the home turn  I thought thats when Nina should have kicked . Poor judgement from a top rider ...
Report bigmart October 9, 2016 11:11 AM BST
they dont come back the same on good ground either work rider exactly the same as dog racing on better ground the ones up front rarely drop away !
Report the dealer October 9, 2016 11:14 AM BST
drifters that win not a peep, the ones that lose are bent. not her finest hour but would never have won at any stage imo regardless how she rode it
Report bigmart October 9, 2016 11:36 AM BST
dont know about that dealer she was fully 7 len of pace  when they were all rowing
she got caught out flat footed then she got a bit bother trying to gain a clear passage
they think the horse has lots of class but is a rogue at home !
strange way to ride a stayer imo !
Report everton1978 October 9, 2016 11:46 AM BST
The winner came from further back.  Why back a stayer in a 2 mile flat race on decent ground? It's ptp win was on softer ground over further.  Plus if you knew after a furlong it wasn't off you could have laid the nuts off it
Report bigmart October 9, 2016 12:03 PM BST
nothing wrong with the ground wd not want it firm won a point on soft but it was dif class
i seen the drift and put a saver on the winner ! made a profit but
lots of stayer win 2 mile bumpers but you use the horses assets to obtain the best position
and exploit any weaknesses in the other runners , sitting holding up a stayer not moving a
mussel was not the best tactics , its a bit like putting slip Anchor in the derby and holding it up last wd never win in a million years  !
Report Bigwillystyle October 9, 2016 12:05 PM BST
Why back a stayer in. 2 mile flat race?? The majority of horses that run and win  in these bumpers are stayers!!! Stupid comment.
Nina's horse pulled hard early and wouldn't have beaten the winner whatever she did.
Report workrider October 9, 2016 12:31 PM BST
Bigmart and BWS are both correct , lots of these 4yo bumper runners have already won a p2p. I disagree with BWS re Ninas horse ,settled well enough and a little keen but never pulled too hard imo...As a aside can't make up my mind weather to go to Curragh or not .Not the best of cards.
Report everton1978 October 9, 2016 12:44 PM BST
It's not a stupid comment. If you're backing horses at around evens you'd surely want their optimum conditions. The winner came from further back and basically out speeded the fav.
Report raffingora October 9, 2016 8:54 PM BST
To me it looked like she rode to lose..... plus strange betting patterns = stinks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Report big aitch October 10, 2016 12:17 PM BST
would everyone agree that all Group 1,2 and 3 races involve either pacemakers or horses trying to win, and quite a few of the low grade ones involve horses that are not ridden to win?

Do trainers still enter non trier horses in handicaps to get their weight down for when they are "off"?
