I'm no conspiracy theorist but that ride was incompetent. This horse was with the leaders in a 20 horse CD handicap; now he's held up with a totally unnecessary 3 length gap between him and the third. It was a ride which made no sense whatsoever, regardless of what happened in the final 2 furlongs.

Couldn`t even beat his stable mate. Would have helped if he had kept it straight. Looked like winning but handicapper probably caught up with it. Not good enough on the day.

You're Hired was clearly the best horse in the race. Beaten by a very poor ride. Probably just incompetence though after the phone conversation Dwyer got away with who knows.

Hopefully the horse has better luck in whichever 6 figure prize money hcp he runs in next time.
