I admire Kevin Blake as like us he is a fellow punter.
He has just been speaking about restricted accounts which we all suffer and it is the most sense I have heard in many a year............we should be like they are in Australia that a bookmaker will not have a license unless they lay a bet to EVERYONE.
So you aren't allowed tip a 16-1 winner? Top bloke is Kevin. And you just know he wants to say a whole lot more. AND ALL HE WOULD BE DOING IS TELLING THE TRUTH!! But in this corrupt industry, this seems to be not allowed.

Lydia Hislop and Steve Mellish briefly lifted the lid on restricted accounts on Racing Uk about a year or so go but there has been nothing since. Silence on the matter is exactly how the bookmakers like it.

On what terms? SP only? Presumably not. What is wanted is that bookmakers lay a *price* to everybody. The question is, how exactly would that work? What would we punters lose?
Because if the off-course chains just stop pricing up races so we all have to take SP, I cannot see how that helps.

What was clear is that the panel new all about this subject. However the presenters and journos have never challenged the PRs or the industry as a whole. Surely it is in their job description to do so. As Kevin explained its a serious issue that is affecting the financial funding of racing.

Kevin clearly was annoyed about restricted bets for many punters. You could tell he was genuinely annoyed about the disgusting practices of bookmakers. Well done for speaking out so passionately. Always enjoy watching the Sunday Forum one of the best shows on ATR.
