Without question this is the worst decision since the one at Stratford between Dolatulo/Benbens when the idiotic stewards disqalified the former for keeping a straight line.By disqualifying Seeking Magic in favour of Go Far who was NEVER hampered, they are going against EVERYTHING that has gone before since the rule change many years ago now. Indeed, the Stewards must have had too much to drink and thought they were in Paris, because this is exactly the decision that would have been taken there.

This same clown was involved in that decision as well I believe.

the horse awarded the race wasn't in the least interfered with.  The horses interfered with were soundly beaten. How the f*ck is that "logic"

Because the "result" of a race isn't just about the winner and is something that many in all involvements of racing don't seem to realise.

Would the horse awarded the race have beaten the original 3rd and 4th if all runners had been able to keep a straight line? The horse awarded the race looked to be around a length to a length and a half down inside the final furlong and yet probably made up most of the ground due to the FPTP drifting the width of the track and taking the original 3rd and 4th with it, therefore preventing them from taking the shortest route to the winning line, that being a straight line.

If a horse wins but causes another horse 2nd place and the only way to award 2nd place to the other horse is to place the winner 3rd then that's what should happen. Plus because the interference probably cost the original 4th from being 3rd, with the difference between those places only being minimal, the FPTP was demoted to 4th so that the original 4th was prmoted to 3rd.

*Sorry, that should have read:

Plus because the interference probably cost the original 4th from being 3rd, with the difference between those places only being minimal, the FPTP deserved to be demoted to 4th so that the original 4th was promoted to 3rd.

The way the result is shown on the RP website is a little messy now.
