Seems like these are going to be not allowed anymore.
Apparently an on course bookmaker at Newmarket on Sunday got 50 pushes on, spreading them around the various shops.
The area manager was not best pleased!!

I would have thought though, as it clearly states 1 per person, they would have been within their rights to honour 1 bet then void the other 49.
Any thoughts? |

They're pushes to the 'working man' really. But when people spot a way of making a few quid then some are going to take advantage.

yes , he got a total of 1600 on at 7/4...had a pocket full of slips

had to laugh at cheltenham on the friday the bookmakers as they were each day were lining up in numbers to get the pushes,however on friday one of the pushes was barters hill 4/1 out to 5/1 as it was 4.9 5.0 on betfair they all turned around and left the building.

Do you mean it was 5.9 6.0? They'd be happy backing it at 5/1 and laying it at 5.0.

They stopped the pushes on course after the first day at Goodwood last year. In fact, I was told that they stopped them within a 25 mile radius of the track.

A kid in a shop I sometimes frequent in the NE has a number of lads working for him in that same shop. They either all back one to a ton or all do not bother, comical seeing them all go to the counter at the same time.

Maybe with him 'giving away' all this free money is the reason why he welches on so many bets, and tries whatever he can to not pay the honest ones?
