With Towcester being called off 2 days ago despite the decent weather it must be up there?

I've done them all, and Worcester is as bad as it gets.

AGREE       Worcester totally worst in the country.
Towcester great on a nice day - one of the few remaining 'rural' courses. Although I've never been to Cartmel!

Bangor £20 to get in (£10 course but you freeze to death) Chester Race Company ltd running it into the ground. Standard of racing gone through the floor. Makes Worcester look like Cheltenham.

I've never been to Worcester but Cartmel was full of drunken chavs and dodgy fairground people.

That's no way to talk about the Cartmel bookmakers!

Nowt wrong with Cartmel if your on the posh side and you're with a good group of friends.

I'm not keen on the staff in most of the bars and restaurants on Yorkshire tracks the exception being the lovely service from the folk up in Redcar

All of the northern ones I'm afraid. Goodwood comfortably the finest racecourse in the UK, if not the world.

Have you never been to Yarmouth?

My favourite track in all the world!

Ascot is best.
Cheltenham worst jumps. Wolverhampton worst flat.

To be fair, I was only a kid the last time I went to Cartmel (About 12 years ago now) and a drunken brawl broke out in front of me. It was like being in Blackpool but with nicer scenery.

Join us for a fantastic time at the races and maybe go home a few pounds richer!  Great Yarmouth offers a relaxed atmosphere and is welcoming to all with plenty of facilities, including our modern grandstand, a children’s playground and expansive family lawns. I can't wait...

Dress Code – There is no formal dress code in this enclosure, however the removal of shirts is not permitted.
It's coming to something when you can no longer lose your shirt at the racesCry

Theyve improved Worcester a lot, will be pleased when Hereford reopens, really good viewing. Last time i went to Yarmouth, there was a foot high weed in the centre of the course 100 yards from winning post, musta been a protected species Surprised

at the moment she does not do the bucket scam she just rambles on talking utter nonsense all day as annoying thommo i do think he can bring the odd smile to your face with his silly comments.

I've been to Chelmsford and you're right, foxy, its not good and its not very well-named either. Chelmsford isn't a real city and the course is actually miles out of town anyway.

Chelmsford completed the set for me just before Christmas last year, and guess who they had as "raceday host" ?  I won't ever be going back.

Glad to see Chester mentioned a few times. A venue with a cult following but so overated. I first went there in 1976 and since then they have:

Packed the middle of the track with high wigwams that destroy the viewer friendliness.
Lined the rail of all but the final few yards of the last furlong with tent houses for parties that have a similar effect to the wigwams.
Only rebuilt the members stand because it was burned down by delinquents in the mid 80's.
Only moved the racecourse stables to the course because it was a health and safety risk walking down the roads.
Built a tunnel to get to the centre to replace the Gym mat that use to lay down - the only voluntary improvement they've made.
