RTB - neither is fair but all part of the game.

the game is not fair RTB - bookies play unfair so we all have to adjust. Every bet we do if phoned through in mornings so its their choice whether they choose to take it or not.

RTB - I have a code of honour having been an ex Indie - I don't bet in one man band Ops. But I lose no sleep in fleecing the big high st firms - if that helps you.
|
|
By:
I'd love to see that one go to court.
"Sorry your majesty. I could only get £25 on myself these days so I have a team of runners who get on what I want because on the imposed limits by the said firms." Reply... "WELL THAT'S ILLEGAL.... THAT's MONEY LAUNDERING.... NO BAIL, YOU CAN HAVE 25 YEARS IN STRANGEWAYS SO YOU CAN REFLECT ON YOUR CRIMES" |

its not worth getting banged up for, don't do it

8am-10am availability required and early opening shops - pm me if you have these and we can make each other loads.

Some idiots on here pretending it is dubious. Anyone who thinks it is gainful employment wont be facing an argument from the police.
I think what the OP needs to do, though, is state how much below the limit he wants on in each shop, since there has to be some left for the placer at the price. |
|
By:
I'm never going to get my full bet on at best price. I accept that. Further we are dealing with very high margins - lets just say 25%+ for arguments sake - last few years have been way higher.
Now if I ask a placer for 200 @ 6/1 and he gets me 120 @ 6/1 and 80 @ 11/2 - i'm not gonna complain or argue the toss. What he gets on for himself at what price I never ask or question. I just ask for the placer not to be betting a size that ruins it for all the team. They will make a very good income betting 1/5 my stakes. |

Would the placers be liable to pay tax on any winnings, given that it's effectively agency work? What happens if the bookie decides to void bets as it know it's being clobbered by a syndicate? How do placers know you're not laundering cash through them?
|
|
By:
Well the existing placers would think I'm the luckiest launderer in the world. Frankly RTB you're an idiot but useful in that u bring my thread to the top.

racingguru there are many in this society that hate the fact that there are people can earn money from betting. They see Horse Racing betting as at best a recreational hobby but mostly as a platform to pi ss away money on a mugs game. Whilst if they had the intelligence, dedication, hard work, judgement, discipline and mental strength to do the same they would too
![]() ![]() This is the only section of all society where you are punished for being good at something and discouraged from fulfilling your potential Strange world we live in where ignorance and jealousy are rife Keep up the good work and all the best with your endeavours ![]() |

Truth is most think if you win you're lucky
If you lose you're a mug And if you consistently win they're jealous and try to knock you |

How do placers know you're not laundering cash through them? Rob - It seems you are on a constant fishing expedition on here, you obviously are not stupid so why the need? Why would any placers be liable to pay tax? They would only effectively be agency workers if they were getting paid wouldn't they? Over the years, I have placed hundreds of bets for mates when they have been busy, and they have done the same for me - shall we all contact HMRC about this as we have obviously been laundering money in your mind? |
|

I can get involved in this if you're still looking mate.

I am just wondering what betting shops allow £120 on a 6/1 chance before midday?? The only ones that i have ever come across that does in the 25 mile radius of my house are will hill and thats mainly because they have the least amount of early prices so i very rarely use them. I can see how i could get £25 or £50 on but more than that and i would be amazed!!!
Not disputing what u say at all but thats me speaking from actual experience. And most of the early opening shops round here (coral) have now stopped opening until 9 or 10. Good luck with the venture though. |
|
By:
I don't even go into shops - my placers get on is all I can say - yes they split up their bets but plenty of their bets are close to 1k liability. I do prefer people who live in cities - in small towns a couple of placers have experienced difficulties.
