I work for a major bookmaker at weekends in their call centre and yesterday, in my 5 hour shift, i did not take ONE single bet on the winner and the young girl sitting next to me said the same thing.Bearing in mind the phone rang constantly during those 5 hours i find that absolutely remarkable...no doubt there was dancing in the streets of Barking last night

not a bad day in the shop over 2,500 bets not bd stakes either, but not one bet over a £1 for the winner.
how do you get 5 hour shifts, I did another 13 hour shift yesterday and I'm of in for a 9am till 8pm shift today, you must be well in with Mr Hornby. |

I backed Mouse's other runner, and I guess most folk would have thought that had a better chance than the winner. No wonder owner and trainer didn't know what to say!  Well done them, anyway! A good winner, and fair play to young Mullens! He rode well. |
