look its odds on according to those Kevin Blake stats that this ban will be reduced to 4/5days..so what r we talking about..I believe it was a poor decision by stewards(30days) and if anything will protect these connections even more so in future when its overturned..we saw the same running & riding offences @ fairyhouse yesterday & nothing was done particularly with Brosna George who was noted by the stewards in running and who accepted the riders explanation that the horse never travelled a furlong behind the leaders..I accept that most horses are just useless & cant even lie up half speed in maidens but the handicapper can do a lot more by not given them marks. The Turf Club have a performance warning system on horses & there has been only one warning this year so far on a horse called Brought Joe Home..there was 9 performance warnings in the whole of 2015..horses who don't show enough in maidens shouldn't get a mark until they at least show they can lie up & finish a race..I would dish out Performance warnings more often, its a good concept but under used. I believe horses should show or be allotted some ability rating before they can even step on a racetrack. there is plenty schooling races around the country and barrier trails would be a great idea as in Australia for flat horses..The Irish scene is a complete embarrassment and has been for a while..the whole sport seems a mess across both sides of the Irish Sea..and on a more serious note £9 for a double cheeseburger @Uttoxeter
