The only (feeble) excuse I can offer is that no person (yet) has defended or regained the overall title, so history dictates you can only get worse after winning this comp outright!

Though I can't complain having won the overall comp and had a further 3 outright top 10 finishes, though it's not looking like I'll be improving on that record this season!

And added to that I have my premiership naps win, my Flat season 'big meeting' comp win, and my Cheltenham comp win from a couple of years back.

So fair to say I've won my fair share in the comps stakes, and if I happen to be in poor form for a while, well you can't win them all, eh?
