Jim Best had most success with AP. On the flat Lester or Fallon. I once had a tip for one where the trainer said that if it lost he would give up training. He put Fallon up and it won by a neck at 9/1 and paid for my holiday.

Barton Bank and AM , the opposite of letting the horse make its mind up at the last ,its six and half a dozen imo
Horse was maybe tired and fell because the jock tried to force the issue ,horse was on the deck a lot , including a horrendous fall in the same years GC .
Was waiting on BB for a few bob ,horse had cost me dearly in the previous seasons KG ,when beating Bradbury Star .
luckily for AM the Duke took it out on a photographer who had the temerity to take his photo after the fall ,the Duke put his arm around him (AM) if i remember rightly,the photographer was not so lucky
