Us celts another load of romantic codswallop .  what about the people who existed before the infusion of Celtic blood ,late northern iron age people were on the land before them and much of the history has vanished and been overwritten ,much work still to be done .Genitics show a different story and once it's fully understood another story will emerge .life on these isles did not start with the celts .

Yes ,many sub groups but there was a people/peoples on the lands before them and many others that joined the gene pool .Typical Celt was fair with a roundish face not the biggest in height I think .WAs a good exhibition of Celtic artifacts in London recently ,would have liked to have seen it ,they did not leave many traces ,some interesting art work and depictions of themselves but not a lot exists

I get your drift bnb and you are probably right. Scotland used to be joined to Newfoundland and drifted across the Atlantic when it separated and eventually merged with England, so original inhabitants were probably North American indigenous people, if that makes sense. Think I`ll change my name by deed-poll to Geronimo.
