The Mullins horse BATTLEFORD has the form, looked the winner in its point when it went on, but was headed at the last where it fell, the winner of that race was the unbeaten Lucky pass, so Battleford could be very good BUT...

A one who could beat it is A RATED
It was a bit green on its 1st run, but it was its last run that caught the eye in November, it put up a fantastic time for a 4yr old,  fastest time of the day by a massive 7secs ...... leading all the way... winning impressively,... looks to have a decent turn of foot
now when  a 4yr old can run a time like that, you have to sit up and take notice.... granted it  wasn't under  6 min Wink, but would have needed to be in an aeroplane to run that quick lol.

Gets the age allowance,  and  Dunne claiming the 7LB ....... At 8/1 it looks worth a bet!

Koi, a negative is the trip. Won a p2p over 3 miles (2 today) and it's breeding has 3 miles + written all over it. Age allowance is only 2 lb (same for favourite) and i've never heard of the jockey. Many of these Irish bumpers have a lot of dross entered, and some are 'waiting for another day', so maybe your selection could be placed. Not a betting race for me. Good luck.

On RUK Friday Graeme Wylie said Battleford will hopefully represent him in the champion bumper. Had a bet at 7/4 when first priced up last night and a speculative punt at 33s for the champion bumper.

By 5 o clock that will either look shrewd or another token to put in the bin.

Good luck.

Andrew, its half brother " Mental Strength" won a bumper backend of last year.... not an exact science I know.

I would hope it would make the running

Good write up Koi, heading to Punchetown shortly lots of speculation about this fella alright, Battlefront that is.Willie seems to think its one of his best ,maybe even his best but he gets it wrong so often with his bumper horses , will have a look at this in the paddock before deciding to have a bet either way...

Just read it.. not exactly tipped it up.. but alls good.

battleford is not wylies best bumper horse. he was not favourite at Loughanmore, opening 2/1 drifted out to about 5s, if memory serves there was late money for lucky pass and he was the loser for the books at the off and probably favourite. you can take the prices shown on the p2p site with a pinch of salt in some cases, as frequently the shows don't reflect the betting action for the last few minutes before the off, ie the real punting. he was beat when he fell, would have finished about 5or 6 lengths off lucky pass. battleford could win this, normally midnight legends like nicer ground, I wouldn't out you off backing him.

a rated could be the best horse in the race. Redmond has turned down 200k, Kenny no track winner in 4 years would put a dampener on things.

Yes, I noticed the post between all thee petty arguing and bickering that goes on in there.

Can't believe they have turned down £200,000.   Perhaps holding out for more after a impressive rules run?

Fleminsfith's handle the ground no probs

The next question, should be "When did the trainer last have a runner under rules? Grin, Vital Plot in a hunter chase..

not surprising for a P2P trainer Wink

Doesnt detract from what the horse did in its point Grin

Turtle Islands handle it and Brian Boru's so why didn't both half brothers not go a yard on it?

is it an exact science?... obviously not.... some would say presentings dont handle heavy ground, some obviousy do,

I dont know, can you tell me... as I say, wether he has had a winner or not does not detract from what the horse has done in its P2P.

Very successful service with 200 followers, so price movements are of course to be expected. Put up Balko Des Flos, Love Rory and A Rated ew
I don't back them  but I get to see what a lot of tipster services put up.
