Watched him on the odds on shot. If you look at the head on his left arm is hardly moving while his right is showing the whip.
By:
Not even funny how bad he is in a finish
By:
i needed it for a treble and was on at a decent price. Im not his biggest fan, he is what he is but didn't seem to do too much wrong there think the winner is by far the better horse. Thought he was home and hosed, v short in running at 1.05 so hurts a bit

Another beauty from Havlin on Miss Giler today. Id fancy a pensioner would be stronger than him in a finish
By:
Not good tactically and he would be the first to admit to his limitations, has been more consistent according to the facts and figures for the last seven years than he was for the ten prior so certainly has not got any worse, just an average run of the mill jock (rider not Scot...!)
By:
Over the last five seasons he has a strike rate of 21% for John Gosden - do you really think that Gosden, of all people, would employ a jockey who was not up to the job?
By:
Handicapping jockey.
By:
Gosden wouldn't be using him to much on fancied runners during the turf season, would he?
By:
Makes a great living as a second rate Jockey.
By:
Reaps the benefits for doing what is asked of him, ima will be along in a minute to tell us all he is not a journeyman jockey because he has group race victories on his cv...!
By:
If Gosden thought that much of him why did he never give him the top job ya plum crepello
By:
because he never got offered that job doesnt mean Gosden doesnt rate him.
By:
Chill, no need to live up to your name scp...!
I believe crepello was merely pointing out that Gosden is no fool and would not have maintained their association if he didn't rate him as good at doing what he requested of him, that is not to say that he believes he is capable of being the stable number one, crepello or Gosden that is. A stable requires good workriders and RH is a good one, there are a lot of stables that have just as good workriders who do not ever take out a licence, riding in races is a different skill to riding work and very few of the top race riders past or present would be classed as top workriders. |
By:
i would imagine he does loads of work with them at home with them, probably an integral part of the team. short of top class but not the worst around.
agree CL was just posting something similar |
By:
If he's such a good work rider he should stick to that full time then
By:
supplements his income with some rides to keep him there. he isnt that bad,
By:
the one today has had 12 attempts to get her head in front, odds on loser twice for dettori and buick.
By:
Ya you're right, he's beyond bad
By:
He's just ridden two real slowboats for gosden the last few days, whether he was good bad indifferent made no difference whatsoever..
By:
Everyone who rides dreams of riding winners, he has been fortunate enough to be in a position to fulfil that dream, he has been an average at best racerider throughout his career, it is not like he has become bad overnight, so anyone choosing to wager on him should always factor him riding into the price they are prepared to back at and if you truly feel he is so awful then laying his mounts is surely the option to take rather than just criticising him.
By:
The pink button gets hit hard, don't you worry about that CL
By:
Good luck, the facts and figures say that it is a very safe way to make a profit, just surprised why you would choose to advocate him packing it in as you are making money from his inability as such.

Good luck, the facts and figures say that it is a very safe way to make a profit, just surprised why you would choose to advocate him packing it in as you are making money from his inability as such. snap is a fantasist who claimed to have laid a horse at 1.32 that never traded lower than 1.65 |

Each to their own poorpup, just surprised that anyone would bite the hand that helps to feed them, a little illogical to me.
