Just posted on the other thread - he really si appalling and his strength in a finish is non existent.
brilliant jockey-i don't think jefferson/channon/knight would bother with him if he was no good.

He's a terrible jockey and has developed into one of those who looks like they are going well only to findabsolutely nothing. Rides pretty much the same way nowadays and it does my head in if he's riding something I fancy or back in running as the outcome is usually the same.
Can I make a suggestion-don't bet his horses?

brendrew - many of us know what we're looking at , myself after 40 years of experience. It means nothing that these trainers use him as racing is such a closed in-bred shop.

backed the viking but that thing in front wasn't for stopping ....
The guy is next to useless and I keep falling for it.
He seems to like sitting as quiet as a mouse, don't move, just sit, showboat and then change the reins twenty times and then........a lot of rides like that this season. If he got beaten in a driving finish after going all out that's fair enough, but twice today he's been beat by just sitting....over-rated

race 1 beat of peter buchanan-another jockey often slagged off on here-where are his detractors?
Race 2-beat off a course specialist+the horse he was on,often dogs it in a finish.Nicholls got shot of it.Thompson has done a cracking job with it.
race 3-put in the race like 1 st horse to win but horse emptied out on him.
Btw-Fahey,Easterby,Longsdon+Dennis have all used him.If you disagree bet against him.
I repeat lay his horses if he is that bad.

generally been riding better the last 18 months imo
