Why not make it a handicap with £100,000 plus to the winner it surely make it a better race than it is now.Grade 3 like the hennessey.

I can't think of one Ryanair that's cut up or been a bad race since its inception..??
Cos Mullins wants to win a Grade 1 with Vautour, not a handicap.
Its a race that is won by horses not good enough to win a gold cup never excites me yeah good horses run but they are not great horses.
surely changing it from a graded contest to a handicap would lessen the quality of the race?
Pity the race was not around 20 years ago, One Man would have won 5
don't see the problem with the Ryanair myself. We have the byrne group plate as a 2 and half mile handicap. What is wrong with having a 2mile 5 group 1 for them that don't stay the gold cup trip? It's always been a good race for me since it came around.

Leave it alone and introduce a grade 1 2.5m hurdle race.
