Load of rubbish.  Everyone knows those horses were out for a run so dont see the problem myself.  They were huge prices on exchanges so no damage done.  They wouldnt have got with 10-15 L of the winner even if they were trying.

That Lord Lambton was the Tory Minister who had to resign after photos were taken of him consorting with a tart.
Wasn't there another one who trained horses ?

George Lambton trained Hyperion.

I was thinking the 60s not the 30s tbh. Wasn't Peter Robinson his stable jockey or am I losing my marbles ?

The early 60's Lambton was E G, son of the Hon George.  They trained at Kremlin House, later to be Jeremy Hindley, then Michael Jarvis.
Not sure if Robinson was his Jockey, think PR was attached to Jack Jarvis at that time but could be wrong. Might be something on Jockeypedia.

E 'Teddy' Lambton - trained at Newmarket - salmon

- and - you are correct - Peter Robinson - father of Phillip Robinson - used to ride for Teddy Lambton - and then Peter took over the training after Teddy retired.

Mr Bigmore was one of theirs - amongst many other useful horses.

Mr Bigmore won 5 Handicaps, and finished 2nd in 2 others, including the Andy Capp Handicap at Redcar, from just those 7 outings as a 3-year-old.

Next season he won twice, from 4 outings, ending up with winning the Goodwood Cup

^ Mr Bigmore was owned by E 'Teddy' Lambton, and trained by Peter Robinso.

Without checking - Teddy may have bred Mr Bigmore - as the dam was Intrusion, who was also the dam of Lily Lantry -  who was the dam of dual Cambridgeshire winner Prince De Galles - trained by Peter Robinson

For the number of horses he has in training, JP does have lot of dross. Fact.

Thanks blackbarn. I THINK he was the Hon Edward. Pretty certain Robinson rode for him. A lot of their runners were in the north.
